Welcome to today’s game against Crewe Alexander as we welcome our charity partners and launch our running events for the forthcoming season.

Santa Run returns to our CITY centre

As we edge closer to the winter period, it’s time to start preparing for this year’s Santa Run!

Join hundreds of runners, joggers & walkers from across Exeter and the surrounding area to raise money for our four amazing charities in the event that IS the start of Christmas. Set your own bar, run for fun, run to reach a goal, run competitively, run to be healthy, run to raise awareness.

City Community Trust, Children’s Hospice South West, Age UK & Exeter Deaf Academy are our chosen charities, although if you prefer to run for a charity closer to your heart, we are happy for you to do so.

Thanks to the generosity of The Bid, we are delighted to announce that we are able to bring back this iconic event to Exeter City Centre.

Full route details will be available shortly, although we can confirm, it will start and finish in Princesshay on the morning of December 3rd with the 1st event being a 5km race starting at 9am followed by a 2.5km Family Fun run starting at 9.30.

Age and ability are no barrier for the Family Fun event and a Santa suit is included in the entry fee, along with a finishers medal. You will however need to be aged 13 years or older to compete in the 5km race but fear not your entry will also include a Santa suit & medal.

Enter is limited to the first 600 participants per race, so sign up today and bring your friends and family along, get dressed up and raise some money for a great cause.

Support CITY Community Trust as they complete the Great West Run

Sunday 15 October 2017 will see 30 members of the Exeter City Community Trust team, it’s extended family of partners and programme participants taking part in the Great West Run.

We need your support to raise money for our charity and have set an initial target of £1500. Please support your favourite coach, family member or someone who has inspired you along a difficult journey by visiting our Virgin Giving page and donating anything you can. http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/ExeterCityCommunityTrust

Once we have reached our target any surplus funds will be split between our charity partners Children's Hospice South West and The Exeter Sports Fund.

Why support CCT?

We use the power of sport, physical activity and health & wellbeing to deliver programmes for all parts of the community across the Devon and Somerset area.

A full-time staff of 30+ and a casual staff of 70+ (supported by around 25 volunteers) are delivering on the frontline daily spending around 22,000 hours out in the community every year striving to improve life chances for all, often in the most deprived areas of Greater Exeter and among the most disadvantaged groups in our society.

While football is our beating heart, our work in the community has grown to extend far beyond..Our health, education, wellbeing and physical activity programmes reach over 45,000 members of our community each year and around 48% of those programmes are not football. The spread of our work is growing all the time.

We want everyone to know you don’t have to play football, support football … or even like football … to benefit or participate. We are open and accessible to all, young and old, whoever you are, whatever your ability or background.

Thank you for your support, all donations will enable us to provide further support to those members of our community who need it most.
