Premier League Kicks praise from young participant

Brad Hardware, one of our Premier League Kicks participants, has praised the work of the programme in helping him to develop socially.

The programme, which is designed for youngsters between the ages of eight and 19, is delivered by Exeter CITY Community Trust in three locations across Exeter and aims to give young people the opportunity to take part in regular physical activity as well as develop socially.

The sessions are located in Cranbrook and Wonford on Friday evenings, and at Merivale Park on Thursdays.

On the programme, Brad explained: “It gives kids the opportunity to come up and play football, be active, try different sports and have fun. I’ve benefited socially, massively, and the programme has taught me some life skills.

“I enjoy it, it keeps everyone active and it’s nice to see how people are progressing in different sports.”

Brad feels the programme is necessary in the local area to ensure that youngsters his age are given opportunities to go and play sport in safe and controlled environments.

He continued: “Most teenagers these days are out playing loud music on their speakers or perhaps being antisocial, but this programme gets me away from it all and keeps me out of trouble.”
