Men's Sporting Memories Group
SPORTING MEMORIES - FREE EVERY WEDNESDAY @ St James Park
*** NEW SESSION STARTING 1st FEB 2019 @ Exeter Library ***
Using the rich history and heritage of sport, our Sporting Memories club is open to men over the age of 50 who enjoy reminiscing about their experiences of watching or playing. The club takes place each week on a Wednesday at St James Park and is a friendly, welcoming environment that is open to all.
Many of our members attend to enjoy the company of other older sports fans, some of our members live with dementia or have memory problems, some have experienced depression, they may have had a stroke or live with Parkinson's, all have one thing in common, a love for sport and the enjoyment from discusing their favourite moments over a cup of tea and cake !
There is always great fun and laughter in the sessions. New friendships are forged and some remarkable sporting stories often emerge.
A recent visit to the Exeter City FC training ground proved a real success.
If you or someone you know would benefit from joining us, just come along and give it a try it's FREE.We meet at St James Park shop reception area every week at 10am.
