Premier League Kicks
Exeter CITY Community Trust provide a variety of projects for school aged children either in an education setting as part of their school day or as part of a larger scheme which uses school facilities as a community hub. Many of these opportunities are free, any which are paying sessions will be kept at a minimum cost to ensure they remain accessible to all.
Exeter CITY Community Trust Premier League Kicks Project provides FREE sports coaching sessions to young people of ages 8-19 and is delivered over a variety of areas in our community including Wonford, Merrivale, & Cranbrook.
Attendees can partake FREE OF CHARGE, if you are aged between 8 & 19 years old, just jump right in. Football and Table Tennis are just two examples amongst a wide variety of sports we deliver in a relaxed environment, where the focus is purely on enjoyment! Is it raining? No problem! We have indoor facilities that accommodate both the use of indoor sports, and the occasional introduction of our own FIFA tournaments! Participants who show a positive attitude and commitment to Kicks have various opportunities to represent Exeter City in regional and national football fixtures. Regular attendees will have the opportunities to access matchday tickets, and will have a variety of club based benefits that present themselves throughout the year.
Funded through the Premier League Charitable Fund and several other partners, (including Exeter City Council Community Safety Partnership, Coop Local Causes, One Stop Carriers for Causes and Proceeds of Crime Act.) the scheme aims to inspire more young people to get active, whilst occupying and engaging with them in a safe and enjoyable environment.
The programme focuses on getting young people active through a variety of sports & activities that help to support young people to progress into positive pathways such as Education, work experience and qualifications. All whilst making a positive impact on the local community. In the past, attendees from the Premier League Kicks programme have gone on to obtain work experience placements at Exeter City Community Trust, and have even gone on to be employed by ourselves!

"The programme has helped me a lot. I came here not knowing what I wanted to do as a job. But helping the coaches has made me realise I want to go into coaching sports at schools. Eventually I would like to do my coaching badges, and go from there."
"The street soccer that was held at the stadium was really good. We need more of them!"
"Going to Kicks is something I look forward to just before school finishes. Everyone likes starting the weekend off with a few games of football."
"We've played a few fixtures against other teams, like Plymouth Argyle, and watched the game afterwards. If you act well, it gets noticed, which is good."
