Santa Run

SUNDAY 3rd DECEMBER 2017 - EXETER CITY CENTRE

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our 2017 Santa Run, our sponsors, volunteers and charity partners for making such a special event.

On Sunday 3rd December, over 600 Santa’s ran through the streets of Exeter to raise money for three local charities (Children’s Hospice Southwest, Exeter Royal Academy For Death Education and Exeter Age Uk).

In perfect weather conditions, the 5k race began at 9am and was followed by the 2.5k fun run thirty minutes later, both starting and finishing in Princesshay Square.

This year, every participant managed to successfully complete the course and in doing so win themselves a medal. For their achievements, all Santa’s were supplied with refreshments at the finish line including Christmas favourites, mince pie.

Peter Ferlie, organiser of this year’s Santa Run, says it was great to see so much money go towards the three local charties connected with the event:

It was fantastic to see so many Santa’s running through the city centre first thing Sunday morning. Hundreds of pounds have been raised for three fabulous charities. Now let Christmas begin!”

Photos from the day are available to view on our Facebook page.

For more infomation about our 2017 Santa Run, please email peter.ferlie@ecfc.co.uk. Don't forget to look out for the 2018 event, entry will open soon.
