Football Tournaments

Throughout the year Exeter CITY Community Trust run a variety of tournaments for both adults and children.

We are down to counting the days until  the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and Exeter City Community Trust want to celebrate by dedicating an event to the Primary Schools we have worked closely with this year.

The event will take place on the brilliant new 3G astro turf at the Exeter College Sports Hub in Exwick.

The important details for the event are:

  • teams of 6 a-side with a squad of 8 players (girls and boys from years 3 and 4)
  • free football tournament where the winning school will receive a World Cup replica trophy
  • at the Exeter College Sports Hub, Ennerdale Way, Exwick, Exeter, Devon, EX4 2BQ
  • on brand new 3G astro turf; therefore footwear regulations apply
  • Thursday 7th June, 10.30 am - 2.30 pm
  • parking will be available.

There is a limit of 20 teams. Owing to the expected popularity of the event teams will be selected on a first-come first-serve basis and will need to confirm attendance by Monday 8th May.Once attendance is confirmed, we will allocate your school a team  which will be one of the World Cup nations. We would ask you to create a flag and team decorations to match your given nation. You will also receive the programme for the day containing fixtures, timings, kit to wear and what to bring on the day etc.

We are happy for parents to come and support the children at the event &  there will be additional activities on the perimeter of the 3G astro turf to take part in, such as our inflatable target shot and refreshments will be available for which there will be a small cost.

We hope you embrace the ECCT Primary School World Cup event,  to register your interest email by 8th May.
